Google Account Association

tmpB2

One of the things Yungsang is thinking for the future is to have a failsafe switch for Twittaw. While the use of the Twitter ID is great, if the Twitter API flickers or goes down, you are left unable to login to Twittaw because of the use of the Twitter OAuth login. If you are logged in you are able to stay logged and comment. But sometimes if you happen to post a new note, it will log you out if you had set that note to go to Twitter too.

To prevent that. A Google Account Association with Twittaw would work as a Fallback ID Auth to keep you logged and switch off the possible error that happens if you try to cross-post a note to Twitter and Twitter happens to be down. If you got this G.A.A it will simply not post to Twitter and will keep you logged to Twittaw.

The reason why a Google Account was chosen as the Fallback ID is because Twittaw is a Google App Engine based Application.

If the idea appeals to you already. you can help test it out by going to this Twittaw Link:

To take even more advantage of it. It could also be used for future Gmail/Gtalk integrations in the future if it proves to be stable and not much of a hassle to have implemented.

Twitter integration should be terminated all together. The simple fact that whatever i say on Twittaw is posted on Twitter just makes me feel as if I'm Spamming my followers.
